Emma Mitchell, 38-year-old was charged with killing Mee Kuen Chong and then throwing her body headless over 200 miles away in Devon in order to get hundreds of thousands of pounds.
The therapist Mitchell hit the 67-year-old head with a gun in her London house and cut her body and then left her in Salcombe two weeks later.
The prosecution claimed Mitchell was planning to kill her and forge her will to inherit most of the property, worth more than 700 000 pounds, according to Sky News.
Mitchell denied having anything to do with her death and refused to testify in her trial at Old Bailey.
During the trial, lawyers saw Mitchell's camera footage arriving at Chong's house carrying a large blue suitcase, in which he was suspected to insert his body on the morning of June 11th last year.
More than four hours later, it emerged from property in Embley, northwest London, with the briefcase, which seemed heavier.
The prosecution said that Mitchell looked like he was fighting to keep the case.
After Chong's neighbor reported her disappearance, Mitchell claimed she had gone to visit family friends.
The prosecution suggested that Mitchell had beheaded Chong and kept her remains in the garden that she shared with her retired mother in Wilesden, northwest London.
On June 26, last year, Mitchell put his body in his suitcase in the trunk of a rented car and left for Devon.
Mrs. Chong's headless body was found by vacationers near a forest in Salcombe the next day.
A posthumous examination confirmed that Chong had suffered a skull fracture along with other injuries.
The court found that Mitchell and Chong met in the church and exchanged messages about the renovation of Mitchell's house in Williamsden.
Jurists said Mitchell planned to kill Chong after she withdrew to give her 200,000 pounds to pay for the ruined Mitchell family house.
After her remains were discovered, police found a false will of Mrs. Chong leaving most of her wealth Mitchell.
Mitchell is in custody and is expected to be sentenced Friday.
