The two-day visit to Kosovo by two emissaries, the one of the United States for the Western Balkans, Gabriel Escobar, and the European Union for Kosovo-Serbia Dialogue, Miroslav Lajcak, is seen as a driving process of Kosovo- Serbia from the organisation's executive director of “Arise”, Arton Demhasey, the Online Economy reports.
Demhasaj said Escobar and Lajcak will ask the Kurti Government to return to the table of dialogue, with the claim that the agreement between Kosovo and Serbia will be reached as soon as mutual recognition ends.
He says association of Serb majority municipalities will be discussed at this meeting
“They will most likely ask the government Kurti to return to the dialogue table with the claim that the agreement between Kosovo and Serbia will be reached as soon as mutual recognition ends. These meetings will likely be discussed even many issues related to the agreement on what this agreement will be like and will most likely be the issue of the association of Serb majority municipalities to be discussed”, he has said.
Demhaja has said that special envoys can bring some models about association, which then will be chosen by the Government as a model to push forward.
Mr. Escobar has suggested there are several scenarios that could have been part of the agreement regarding the association of Serb majority municipalities. They can bring in some models of what association can be like that then remains of the government which model can push it away. Most likely, the final agreement has been the issue of the found. Escobar has been very experienced in the answers it has given that the agreement will end with mutual recognition and I think that this is an unquestionable issue and that Kosovo should not tolerate and accept anything other than that. What Kosovo will most likely require will be the establishment of association of Serb majority municipalities that may be a different model that envisions the Brussels Agreement”, Demhasaj said.
