Joao Moutinho scored the decisive goal in the 82nd minute at Old Tuffford to cause the red devil's first defeat under temporary coach Ralph Rangnick's leadership.
Wolves played better than Unitedey most of the time, defeating red demons for the first time in Old Tuffford after more than 40 years.
