Prime Minister Kurti at a meeting with the sports community: We need both massification and the splendor of sports

Prime Minister Kurti thanked Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports Hayrlla Ceku and the Olympic Committee for inviting, hospitality and organising this table, dedicated to strategy and the Sports Law. In addition to the particular results in the international arena, which are huge, he said the sport also needs as a general culture of the population. “We also need the massiveisation and splendor of sport”, the prime minister said during the discussion. To achieve this, of course, sports infrastructure is important and this will be addressed with state priorities in our government, Prime Minister Kurti further said.

He added that testimony to this prioritisation of sports constitutes the fact, which for the first time in independent Kosovo, sports and its development will be part of the National Development Strategy.

Prime Minister Kurti also singled out the importance of the relationship between sports and education. The bridge between sport and education, both as social and as a state institutional activity, should be powerful, because we also discover the talents early and support them in time, and make the sport trend and culture for all”, he said.
