Imer Zeqiri, the head of the Police Union, has reacted to the injuries of three police officials during the PSD protest against expensive electricity.
He called on justice bodies to immediately act on legal procedures and all those who have attacked police officials to be officially investigated.
Response:
Today with the date 29.01.2022, in “Square Skenderbeu” and prior to the Government of the Republic of Kosovo in Pristina, is holding protests.
Kosovo police, in line with legal authorisations, have monitored the situation with the aim of security of all participants and public order. During this protest, apart from the cast of various means by protesters, police officials are physically physically attacked during the conduct of official office, with three police officials being injured. One of the police officers is attacked, slapped in the face.
This attack is very evident in camera videos, so we seek from justice bodies to act immediately according to legal procedures and all those who have attacked police officials to be officially investigated.
The police union considers that the police attack is an attack on the State of Kosovo, so the Prosecutor and Court must react immediately by respecting the legal principle “no one on the” law.
The Police Union will monitor all reactions to justice organs and stand in the forefront of the protection of police officials under any circumstances and the moment that does not matter to them!
