Manchester United's star Mason Greenwood was arrested under suspicion of rape and assault as part of an ongoing investigation into allegations on social networks this weekend.

A spokesman for the force said: ” Manchester Police learned earlier today through social networks and videos posted by a woman who reported incidents of violence.
