(4 years ago)You'll know that the hand brake is frozen if you pull the brake back into the country without any resistance, or if you feel the tension in the brake lever has been reduced.
Most drivers will pick up the brake when parking. In these cold days, however, many drivers are not able to drag the car into garages, even though there is a long time outside that temperatures are in a minus.
The cold causes numerous problems for car owners, including driving difficulties and the start of the engine if the acumulator is weak because of frost. And these frosts can even freeze the brake.
Sometimes the oatmeal of the hand brake rises. The same can be true of the mechanism that keeps the wheels fixed, regardless of the brakes. In this case, you just have to move your vehicle slowly (very slowly) forward and backward. But just a few inches to prevent you from damaging the braking system. Repeat this several times. If the brake is not yet released, find a continuous cable somewhere and connect it to a hair dryer. Drive the warm air toward the wheels that block the hand brake is usually the back wheels, and that should suffice for the brake to be released.
