Christoph Daum told him. Not Kosovo.
The news was confirmed by the German coach himself, in an interview for “pfalz-echo.de”.
I recently received a request from Kosovo to become a national coach. Which would have been interesting, but like demands from the Netherlands and Belgium, I refused”, the 68-year-old said.
I am aware that with my knowledge and experience, I can be a valuable aid to certain clubs to achieve the goals they have set. But just having a job and keeping a team under the league is also an important objective that is no longer the right challenge for me”.
He somehow confirmed that after managing many clubs such as Fenerbahce, Bayer Leverkusen and many others, he is not interested in doing the same, but that Kosovo's offer has not convinced him to try anything differently.
