Bajrami through a Facebook text said holding the Serbian referendum for changing her Constitution in Kosovo is Serbia's next provocation.
Serbia's latest “Provocation that on Kosovo's territory as sovereign and independent state, hold a referendum on changing its Constitution presents a next provocation. It's about the Constitution of Serbia, which not only in preambul, but also in the norms it considers Kosovo as an organic part of it and represents an open tendency of constitutional aggression against Kosovo. This next provocation should not be surprising, because Serbia in the contribution made the Kosovo state structure and intervened on its territory with provocative and unconstitutional actions”, Bajrami wrote.
Bajrami sees as also disturbing the European Union's approach to holding the Serbian referendum in Kosovo, which he calls Serbia's provocation to Kosovo.
According to him, the EU has failed several times to halt Serbia's next provocation, which it listed as follows:
“1. The EU, instead of supporting the intervention in Kosovo's constitutional rule, for allegedly “democratisation of Serbia” with the aim of reforming the judicial system with changing the Serbian Constitution, would have to unanimously require the removal of Kosovo by the Serbian Constitution as provoking constitutional aggression against Kosovo;
2. The EU needs to respect the sovereignty, integrity and constitutional order and respect the position of Kosovo institutions regarding the Serbian referendum, which is in accordance not only with good European practices, but also with the principle of equal approach between all EU member and aspiring states. In this respect, the question is how would it react if the Republic of Albania proclaims the referendum and calls for the vote of Kosovo citizens on Kosovo's territory for its judicial reform? Would he support such a referendum, or would he judge it, even with Serbian qualifications as a tendency to create Albania Etnik;
3. The EU's tendency to get this issue involved in Kosovo-Serbia dialogue topics is dangerous, violates Kosovo's citizenship and represents the tendency for new compromises, beyond the painful compromises that Kosovo has made with accepting the Ahtisaari Plan, which has assured Kosovo's citizens of the most privileged constitutional position in Europe”
“The institutional, party and leadership of Kosovo in these days, when we are remembering the victims of Serbia's genocit is the best response to this provocation. May this leadership be demonstrated in all cases, when Kosovo's citizenship, integrity, constitutional order and sovereignty are violated, Bajrami wrote at the end.
