A major European study of the credibility of cars and customer satisfaction has produced interesting results and a series of surprises.
The survey was conducted by Test Anchoop, a Belgian consumer protection organisation, and included more than 60,000 car owners from Belgium, France, Italy, Spain and Portugal.
As expected, most defects involve electricity, or 17%. This applies to systems related to battery function, lights, windows and central closure. Whether these failures include information problems, which is one of the most common causes of the owners' discontent in research conducted by other organisations like JD Power and similar.
In 13% of cases, the source of the problem is the brakes, and only in third place are problems caused by engine failure, whether gasoline or oil.
As with countless other tests, Lexus cars have fewer problems. During the bail period, only 6% of this brand's cars had to be served. Lexus was also the best in the previous two polls, 2020 and 2018. It is followed by Subaru, Toyota, Mitsubishi and Kia in fifth place. The best-ranked European brand is not from the German premiere, it is the Spanish Seat.
The most unreliable brands are the three premieres and producers of electric cars. These are Jaguar, Land Rover, Alpha Romeo and Tesla as the worst placed brands with only 60% of cars not subject to early service.
A Paradox in Owner's Delight
The absolute paradox is client's pleasure. Although Tesla's cars have proven to be the most incredible, their owners are also the most pleased. About 91% of them are satisfied with the car. For example, with the most reliable Lexus, 89% of owners expressed satisfaction with the selection. The owners of Chevrolet, Fiat and Lance are the most unhappy.
