Rafael Nadal has nailed Novak Djokovic, saying the world has suffered a lot from Covid-19 in the past two years and that Serbian tennis player is suffering the consequences of his decision not to be vaccinated.

Djokovic was not allowed to enter Australia on Wednesday, after authorities in this country said he had failed to meet the requirements for Ovid 19.

Shortly after the decision to ban entry into Australia, Djokovic was sent to Park Hotel, a quarantine building in Melbourne, after being held at the city airport for nine hours.

He was unable to offer evidence that he was completely vaccinated or that he had good medical reasons to be excluded from taking the vaccine.

As a result, tennis player number one in the world will not be able to defend the title at the Australian Open on January 17th, as it will be deported to Serbia.

Djokovic has never indicated whether he is vaccinated, but in the past he has raised his voice against taking the vaccine.

Speaking Thursday, Nadal did not refrain from being asked about the ban by Australian authorities on Djokovic.

“Bota has suffered a lot. Take the” vaccine, Nadal said.

If he wanted to, he'd be here playing in Australia without any trouble. But he decides for himself. We're all free to decide for ourselves, but then there's consequences, right? It's natural that people here in Australia are angry with this case because they've been through a lot of hard times with the country being closed, and many of them haven't been able to return to their homes”, the Spanish tennis player stressed.

Djokovic's legal team has complained about the authorities' decision to annul the Serbian tennis visa and is awaiting the court's decision.

According to Australian media, the court could be delayed in making the decision, and Djokovic could be held at the Park Hotel by Monday.

Djokovic is nine times the champion of the Australian Open and was hoping that this year he would break the record for the most grand record in history, as he has 20, as much as Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal.
