At a news conference, prosecutor Maloku said most of the frozen money is to the defendants themselves,
From the financial data we have provided from the banks that own these defendants and their families, so far we have frozen close to 6m euros. Most of these tools are the defendants themselves, while some of them are of their families who are suspected of being means of profitability for criminal acts”, Maloku said.
He warned that similar shares like today and that would earlier be held again.
This is not the last action. This process will continue in the coming days and you will be announced in time”, prosecutor Maloku said.
While police official Agron Haziri said four people were arrested in today's action. One of them said he was released, while said they were looking for another five.
“Operation has resulted in 4 persons arrested. A suspected person has been released in regular procedure. Another 3 persons have been detained for 48 hours at the prosecutor's decision, and 5 people are in search of police”, Haziri said.
He announced that those arrested, besides bribery, are also suspected of obstructing the process and intimidation.
