After tensions in the north, Russia calls <x0 emergency” Kosovo

In a statement by the Russian Foreign Ministry quoted by the media in Moscow, the immediate resignation of police forces from the north has been called for.

“We are very concerned by the deterioration of the situation in the northern regions of the autonomous province of Kosovo ... In essence, it is an attempt by local Albanians to invade areas populated by the province's Serbs and establish their control there. We ask Pristina authorities to urgently withdraw police units from the northern province and look for resolution of the” situation, it says.

According to official Moscow, the EU and the US must pressure Kosovo to interrupt what they call the <x0-stenar restructuring, broadcast news.net.

“We expect the American and European defenders of Pristina to finally have a sobering effect on their defenses in order to avoid a destructive scenario threatening the entire region,” added in the statement.
