“We know that our people have been waiting for a new government,” said spokesman Abiullah Mujahed, BBC, translates Periscopi.
The Taliban took control in most of the country over three weeks ago.
The task cabinet announcement is a key step in forming the new Taliban government.
Sarajuddin Hakqani, the incumbent interior minister, was behind some of the most deadly terrorist attacks in the country.
