The Democratic Party of Kosovo has opened the election campaign today.
Chairman The PDK, Memli Krasniqi, through a video-edration, said the Democratic Party of Kosovo would extend its political project to citizens in accordance with the serious circumstances created by the current government, by the David 19 pandemic and its mismanagement.
This campaign for the October 17th elections, which is beginning today, under normal circumstances would look different. We'd be together, shake hands, and closely share the vision of the future of a Kosovo that unites us all in the need to transform our cities. But Kosovo is not going through normal circumstances. Kosovo is having heavy days, due to pandemic”, he said.
As reported in the communiqué, Krasniqi called on all PDK candidates, party structures and supporters in each municipality and at any level of organisation, not to organise mass electoral gatherings and strictly respect the safeguard clauses and recommendations of health institutions.
Whatever we can't share in public meetings and large electoral gatherings, we will share together in other forms of communication, like this digital form I'm doing today. I assure you that our political and reforming concept, which needs Kosovo municipalities today more than ever, will reach each citizen. Because the political concept of The PDK for municipalities in the Republic of Kosovo is necessity and emergency. Together, we will implement the development potential, against the stagnation we have seen these four years in most municipalities”, Krasniqi said.
He said the PDK, in these elections, <x0hyn reformed, new-spirited, with the new leadership structure, with relevant and competent candidates, as well as the actual representation of Kosovo citizens”.
Our basic “mission is the well-being of citizens, expanding the potential of economies, and the undeniable perspective of young people throughout Kosovo. The following days, PDK candidates will share with you concrete plans that make this mission possible. Therefore, we also ask for your faith. We are proud of the past, committed to today, and absolutely incompatible for the future. For Kosovo municipalities, this future begins on 17 October. The future for citizens, beyond party colors. The future that makes us together for Kosovo”, Krasniqi said.
