Hoxhaj: With Russia's support, Serbia is threatening the entire region

Enver Hoxhaj from the Democratic Party of Kosovo has declared the agreement since the government's action “Kurti” for setting reciprocity for plates is needed. He says that the fact that this has not been implemented regardless of 2011 shows how unstable this is in Kosovo. According to Hoxhaj, the moment has come [...]
According to Hoxhaj, the moment has come to resolve the problems between Kosovo and Serbia, and this can be achieved through reconstruction of dialogue and the creation of a new moment.
“I think it's time for the end to be reconsidered how dialogue can be reshape and talk only of mutual recognition and is discussed only on technical questions”, Hoxhaj says at Euronews Albania.
The former foreign minister stressed that the situation created is not a test for Kosovo and Serbia itself, but also for Russia and the West.
There is no doubt that recent developments have and geopolitical dimension. Serbia's open military threats, army mobilisation and the movement near the border with Kosovo, as well as the threatening language by Vucic and the presence of the Russian ambassador at a military barracks in southern Serbia speak of a test and of reports between the West and Russia, so it takes greater determination of the EU and US”, Hoxhaj said.
The former Kosovo foreign minister links developments in Kosovo even to the event occurring a few days ago in Montenegro, where Serbs provoked the launch of a civil conflict and Russia and Serbia are, according to him, seeking to restore influence in the region.
“Vukic does not believe that he reacts only on behalf of Serbia and that there is no doubt co-ordination with Russia, and that is directly threatened by Kosovo's integrity and sovereignty from Belgrade, but, above all, it is an effort to threaten the entire region. An effort to produce as much uncertainty in the Balkans as possible in order to block European integration”, Hoxhaj said.
Former head of The PDK says the Kosovo government should have a clear stance on the agreements reached, but an opinion on how to move forward with dialogue, as setting reciprocity is only a technical movement and must cost importance to the political and diplomatic plan.
