Albania's Ambassador to Kosovo, Kemal Minxhozi, has said that at the meeting between Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti and Albania's Edi Rama, who took place Monday, there was no discussion of the Open Balkans “”.
He has said that at that two-hour meeting, he talked about developing relations between the two states.
The “Visit of the Albanian Government delegation is very rapid. This is the first visit to a state from Rama from the moment he received his mandate. This indicated that Tirana's desire to meet was a necessary reality, it was an agreed-on visit that took place shortly after Kurti's congratulations and invitation to Rama, who responded immediately.
“This is a visit that meets all parameters for the people of Kosovo and Albania who wanted a new phase of co-operation, despite a current fluctuation. At the Pristina meeting between Rama and Kurti, the theme of “Open Balkans” has not been mentioned at all, I talk about the first meeting that lasted about two hours in prime minister”.
“Aty was discussed as to how to increase the pace of relations between Kosovo and Albania, where areas we talk about and what we should do most. It has been a comprehensive conversation, important role has been played by respective ministers' reports. It is very important that relations between us develop essentially, despite any external problems that we disagree with, but other issues do not prevent us from developing intensive and brotherly relations”, Minxhozi said in Klan Kosova.
