AAK Chairman Ramush Haradinaj has urged the government to publish the text of the agreement signed today in Brussels.
He says it is unacceptable if it is true that the north is accepted differently from the rest of Kosovo.
Full response:
We ask the Kosovo government to immediately publish the integral text of the license agreement.
If it is true that the government has agreed to treat the north differently from the rest of Kosovo, it is totally unacceptable and punishable for us. The unitary character of the state cannot be touched.
Also, we are indignant at the draw that has been done to Kosovo special police with criminal groups blocking the roads in the north. The prospect of attracting criminal groups with the withdrawal of Kosovo Police Special Units is offensive and a blow to Kosovo's sovereignty!
Similarly, reconciliation for KFOR to take over maintaining the order in the north, when this is the exclusive competence of state rule bodies and when the KFOR mission is military, is going back and concession to Serbia and with serious consequences for Kosovo.
The prime minister is tasked with clarifying the people for every detail of this agreement and urgently reporting to the Kosovo Assembly.
No one has the mandate to sign any agreement that might contradict the country's sovereignty!
