“Goodbye and thank you Angela Merkel”, Chancellor leaves Albania

German Chancellor Angela Merkel has left Albania after today's visit.

Prime Minister Edi Rama has published images of her escort to Rinas.

Merkel has told her that she will see Slovenia's Ljubljana again, while Rama has wished her all the best.

The Chancellor chose Tirana to deliver farewell messages only a few days from holding her country's elections, after which she has declared departure after 16 years at the helm of one of the most important EU states.
