Moments of terror for Germany's national team, on a plane that was forced to make an emergency landing in Edinburgh, Scotland, during Iceland's flight, following the valid World Cup qualifying match 2022.
Relief signals began immediately after the launch of the plane from Keflivik International Airport, forcing the pilot to change direction and seek green light to descend from the Scottish capital's airport control tower.

The German federation (DFB) specified that there was a “precautionary stoppage for security reasons”, for a search of the aircraft on which the team was travelling and all staff of the national team:
Everyone's fine. Everyone's doing fine. He's on Twitter and a new flight is already planned to bring everyone home to Germany”.
Around lunch, the team and delegation boarded the replacement flight to Munich and Frankfurt.
