Stavileci: Kosovo experiencing tragedy from pandemic, government must take responsibility and help citizens

The cases of death and infection are alarming. They are increasing from day to day at a frightening rate. The consequences are getting worse. The crisis is deepening and has already turned into human tragedy. In the last 12 days alone, we have had 24 thousand and 115 new cases of infection and 136 lifetime losses”, Stavileci said.

He said the vaccine centres in Kosovo are few and they have not been added at all in relation to increased cases.

“has no free term for vaccine and no transparency for the amount of vaccines at all. Throughout spring and summer, there have been few vaccines. For months past and nobody and nothing has been managed”, he said.

Stavileci said the current government has abandoned the front against pandemic and, as a result, are now seeing the unfortunate consequences in health, security, economy and education.

The first round of the front against the pandemic, doctors, nurses and all health personnel are overloaded and exhausted, but they are left alone and far from a government that managed to detect the biggest health crisis and the coughing of the entire health system. And, for the greatest irony of their fate, it wasn't helping them, but he insulted them with 2 euros a day”, Stavileci said.

He said the lack of management and insensibility to this tragedy has increased citizens' anxiety, increased uncertainty, exacerbated the economy, troubled education.

So, now, we have a fourfold crisis and the hospital morgue is getting even bigger. The distance of this government constitutes its most striking move on each family and any citizen who now more than ever need her hand. Instead of a concrete plan for preventing and reducing damage, it is practicing the bureaucratic and anti-popular arbitracy of the measures”, he said.

Stavileci has proposed an increase in vaccine centres, the creation of mobile vaccination teams in neighbourhoods and villages, vaccines over the weekend, the possibility of choosing the city to vaccinate, awareness campaigns, increased health staff, and his adequate motivation.

The citizens cannot bear the burden of another closure alone. No businesses and workers. Not even teachers and students. A missing management would cause new life loss, while a literal management could save many of them”, he said.

He has called on the government not to defect from its responsibilities.

Therefore, this government must assume its responsibility, manage pandemic, because the health of citizens is more important than government power. The deserved vaccine is more just than the imposed tribulation. We just don't need desertion, but management”, Stavileci said.
