Full word of Prime Minister Kurti:
Dear Ottoman family,
Dear family, friends and friends of Marigon,
Dear imam and you other religious clergymen,
Brothers and sisters, ladies and gentlemen,
Today, all of us have much grief, and today all of us have great anger. The life of an 18-year-old young girl has been shattered by a brutal murder. An hour and a half ago, the suspect in the murder that shocked the entire Kosovo has been arrested and now has to have fair judgment and deserved punishment.
It's a suspect who has a criminal precedent since years ago in numerous acts that have been various violations of the law. This shows how much work we have ahead of us to direct the justice system in order to act without delay, judge directly, and punish criminals and perpetrators in general.
Our government has launched the initiative for new legal infrastructure, so that we never repeat these cases again, we have prepared the new law for protection of victims and protection from domestic violence, as well as the new national strategy for protection from domestic violence.
In the first six months of this year, 1063 women and girls have reported domestic violence. This shows that trust in institutions has increased, but at the same time our responsibility as institutions should be higher than ever before.
I know that all of you have the frustration, the pain of imminent grief, but at the same time you're sad and upset, none of us will be able to turn the time around and stir up Margo.
You have to keep the best memories, which are certainly countless, and engage together in family, society, and state institutions such as the cruel murder of Marigon Osman never again hit our people and your family.
Comfort not only the Osman family but comfort and comfort of all our people. May Marigon rest, and for real rest we must bring justice to him and all other victims.
