He at a media conference said that there had been information about this violation even former Justice Minister Donus Hoxha.
According to him, the new Law on Legal Medicine had entered into force in 2016 and all its sublegal acts were abolished, but the “guidance based on the old law still continues to be in force”.
In this regard, former Justice Minister Grant Hoxha, in a reply to Klan Kosova, has said that according to her, the Law for Legal Medicine has entered into force before she is minister.
The “Law went into effect in April 2016, while I was assigned to the MD in July 2016, where we immediately started with the drafting of laws and provisions that were in the legislative agenda. Until the breakup of the Assembly, which has been about nine months, we have sent 8 laws to the Parliament including the Criminal Code and other important laws. As for the case in question, it has been part of the functional revision of the rule of law sector, which I have launched since the beginning of 2017, and then other ministers have continued this initiative”.
On the other hand, Hoxha has said she hopes the ministers who came after her” have managed to improve these legal gaps that are counted and continue to be identified”.
So there were three ministers behind me, including the current minister, and they all had inaction then, but only my name has been mentioned by”, she said.
