The 40-year-old did two operations in 2020 and has been limited by making five tour presentations since the return to March.
Federer was forced to leave the Olympics “Tokyo 2020” after a knee injury and this injury will affect lack in “US Open” and “Laver Cup”.
I'll be out for weeks and out of the game for months. I want to give myself a break before I return to the tournament in the right form”, Federer said, following Periscope.
