An Albanian remains in Afghanistan, family seeks assistance from institutions

Defence Minister Niko Peleshi has commented this Tuesday and the government's decision to house an Afghan group in our country.

Pelesh in his address has indicated that we as NATO member state have our responsibility to come to the aid of such crises.

According to him, an Afghan contingent is expected to come over the next few hours, which will temporarily be housed in our country.

“We are part of the mobilization to cope with our share in this crisis, and we need to understand our readiness to take up the load load you meet, and this is the chance to host a portion of Afghans as their country is in turmoil, Albania has accepted and up to the responsibility that we will expect a contingent of the Afghan group”, he said.

Meanwhile, he has provided details about an Albanian national located in Afghanistan, where he stressed that they are in talks on its repatriation as soon as possible.

“An Albanian citizen worked there for a foreign organisation and we have had information from the family and we are doing everything we need to do and its repatriation to our country” is expressed.
