More than 300 members of Afghanistan's security forces fled along the Tajkistan border to escape militants. Now, Badakshan and Takhar have almost completely fallen under Taliban control, reports Guardian, Periscopi.
There was no public announcement on when the last troops of Afghanistan would leave.
High sources have said that US and British missions will end on 4 July, but Joe Biden backed off at a news conference.
On Friday, the US handed over Bagram's air base, the heart of its campaign in Afghanistan, meaning that it would no longer be able to conduct important operations in this country.
The few remaining soldiers are now effectively in operation of the guards for the American Embassy in the country. /Periscope
