Two single women candidates aiming to take municipal leadership in Ferizaj, Decani

The country's president, Vjosa Osmani last month, set 17 October as the date for holding local elections in Kosovo.

After announcing the election date, political parties have already started preparations in all municipalities where they will present their candidates.

So far we have seen that most of the candidates for mayors coming from different political subjects are males.

But, the Democratic League of Kosovo has decided that, among the candidates for mayors, two more women will run.

The LDK has decided that in the race for mayor of Decani to run Hyo Dobrunaj, while in Ferizaj this subject has proposed Sbel Halimin.

So far the LDK has formalised 19 candidates for mayors, as well as the AAK and PDK have formalised most of the candidates that will compete in the 17 October elections for mayor of municipalities. /Telegraphy/
