The Disciplinary Commission of the FIFA has sanctioned Spesia for violating the Merkatos and recording of players under the age of 18, imposing a severe sentence on the Barbarian club. 500,000 fine francs (about 460,000 euros), but above all the merkato blocked for two years.
The leaders of the Spesia club say they are surprised by the decision, underlining that alleged irregularities occurred under previous management and would also lead the issue to appeal.
“After an investigation conducted by the FIFA Regulatory Department reads in a statement, the disciplinary Commission of the highest football body found that the La Spesia club violated Article 19 of the FIFA Justice on status and transfer of players (RSTP), taking up several minor Nigerian players in Italy.
