At Pristina International Airport “Adem Jashari” they are hosted by Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani, Kosovo Parliament Speaker Glauk Konjufca and Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti.
The heads of institutions expressed condolences for lives lost in the tragic accident, and the injured received rapid healing, reassuring them that they would have institutional attention.
President Osmani said that “in Slavonski Brody's tragedy we didn't just lose our countrymen. There we lost a piece of our soul, part of what is our common pillar and our eternal pain: exiles”.
On behalf of the citizens of Kosovo, President Osmani expressed gratitude for the unnecessary assistance they have provided to manage this serious situation, all of Croatia's state institutions.
The Speaker of the Parliament, Glauk Konjufca, expressed his condolences to the family who lost their loved ones in the tragic accident and wanted as soon as possible recovery for the injured.
The country's “Institutions will be close to you to jointly cope with these difficult moments for all of us”, said Chief Prosecutor Konjufca.
Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti stressed that for the exiled Albanians, life is a count of days until the next arrival home.
No matter how large the distances are, they are reduced, they are measured by heart. This Sunday, the long road did not bring home a portion of our exiles. It brought pain to all the people. We share this pain today and remain united in this tragedy, as a large family that we are”, Prime Minister Kurti told fellow countrymen.
Through the communiqué, it becomes known that the Government was assured that it will try with all the possibilities to relieve the pain and consequences of the accident.
The return of fellow citizens from Croatia to Kosovo has been made in joint co-ordination of the Government of the Republic of Kosovo and the Government of the Republic of Croatia. The Kosovo government has organised the transport and escort of fellow countrymen from the airport to families, to their settlements”, said in their communiqué.
