On July 4th, US Independence Day, LDK chairman Lumir Abdixhiku sends this message of congratulations to the American people and government:
On behalf of the Democratic League of Kosovo, I congratulate the government and the people of the United States on Fourth of July Independence Day.
Today, the United States celebrates independence day, an extremely important event in the American people's effort towards achieving goals and ideals for freedom and independence. From that moment on, the United States in world politics carries the flag of freedom and democracy.
For Kosovo the United States was and are the vital ally in our existence as a nation and as a state. In the most devastating moments when our people were facing life or death, the United States acted on protecting the ideal for freedom and deliverance, ideal and goal that they have in their own generation as a state from the founding fathers.
Kosovo has achieved on all this road so far, thanks to the US's unreserved support, first in the freedom struggle and then on the declaration of independence, and now on to strengthening international subjectivity.
The US remains Kosovo's best friend, as well as our close reports we never allow to fade. Forever grateful!
God bless the United States of America. ”
