NATO's intervention in Kosovo represents a turning moment in the history of our country and our people.
Prime Minister Kurti thanked General Clark for his leadership in NATO's decisive intervention, against Milosevic's Yugoslavia in the spring 99, for the irreplaceable post and contribution of the United States of America, and renewed the determination of the Republic of Kosovo to be a NATO member.
The prime minister also thanked General Clark's expressed will to offer professional advice to Minister Mehej.
General Clark congratulated Prime Minister Kurti on his new position and on the government's recent achievements.

He voiced support for the government's goals of economic development and nationwide prosperity.
The state of Kosovo is the greatest friend of the United States of America in Europe, General Clark added, recalling the time when President Bill Clinton, after his recent visit to Kosovo, told him that Kosovo is the best thing he has done during his eight-year presidency.
Furthermore, he said that Kosovo is a success story for the United States of America, like no other.
