Judo Olympic champion Majlinda Kelmendi and European champion 2021 in Judo Akil Gjakova will be the two athletes who will carry the Kosovo flag at the opening ceremony of the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.
The International Olympic Committee has decided that because of gender equality, at the opening ceremony there will be two dungacrists, one male and one female genus, Kosova Prees follows.
At the closing ceremony of the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, Kosovo flag bearer will be the possibility Egzon Shala.
Majlinda Kelmendi had also carried the Kosovo flag at the opening ceremony of the 2016 Olympics.
