The woman you're looking at in the picture is Bahrija, the mother of Star, Agron and Mehmet, the Bytyci brothers who were executed 22 years ago by the Serbian state.
Mother Bahrije has been waiting for justice for her sons for 22 years.
Her photo has been published by former Kosovo Ambassador to America Vlora Citaku, who wrote in the Instagram: “Ylly, Agroni and Mehmet were executed by the Serbian state. Orders are known by name and surname. Instead of punishment, the Serbian state is decorating them”.
On this anniversary, even the US Embassy in Serbia has asked the Serbian government to fully investigate the murder of the Bytyci brothers who were killed in 1999.
“has spent twenty-two years without justice for three American citizens executed by Serb special police forces. We will not forget the death of the Bytyci brothers, nor will we stop seeking justice for them”.
Serbian “Authorities must fully investigate this crime and show progress in rule of law”, written by the Embassy on Twitter.
