This record was held by Australia and set in 2019 (7:41.50). The Americans marked a time of 7:40.73, but surprisingly, it wasn't enough for the gold.
It was the team representing China that came up with 0.4 seconds faster than the United States, to hold the record of 7:40.33, Periscope broadcasts.
Thus, China took gold, the United States was adorned with silver medals, and Australia took the bronze, with a time of 7:41.29. /Periscope/
