Over the last three weeks, I've had more emotions than I've had in my entire life. It was really crazy. We faced death in a way that I never imagined or imagined. We almost lost our best player, our best friend, the team's heart. The situation we experienced with Christian Ericksen gave us the strength to move forward with more confidence, and to our good fortune in the last three games we have developed a fantastic football that has brought us here. I am very happy for the support and love conveyed to the Danish people, and we want to reward them. Now our attention goes to the challenge of England in which we're going to ask for the maximum, even though our main objective in this European world has reached”.
According to Hughes, the 4th teams that will duel in the Euro 2020 semifinals have their own game philosophy, including Denmark.
“We're not afraid of England, but I don't think they're afraid of us. I don't think England has any weakness, but I'm convinced that any rival in this European world can find room to follow the ball, attack and score. England, however, is a complete team and I think that to them our mission to qualify will be very difficult”.
