Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro, 66, may need urgent surgery because he had constant hiccups for 10 days.
He's being transferred to a hospital in São Paulo to undergo blocked bowel tests.
In a tweet, Bolsonaro said it would be “restored soon, with the will of God”.
There have been concerns about the health of the Brazilian president since he was stabbed in the intestine while campaigning in 2018. Bolsonaro was seriously injured in the attack and lost 40% of his blood. He's had several operations since then.
The president went to the military hospital in Brasilia early Wednesday, and doctors then said he would be under surveillance for 24 to 48 hours.
But later the same day, the president's office said that Antonio Luiz Macedo, the surgeon who operated Bolsonaro in 2018, had recommended that the president be transferred to São Paulo for additional tests and possible surgery.
Fabio Faria, Brazil's communications manager, told reporters that Bolsonaro had calmed down in the morning before being sent to São Paulo. President Flavius's son told CNN Brazil that his father had passed a procedure to remove fluid from his stomach as a precaution.
Flavius added that his father had been having problems speaking, but that if it needed an operation it wouldn't be a serious procedure, writes BBC, Kosovo broadcasts
