Brazil has triumphed three times in the finals, while Argentina once in the 84-year history of matches. Argentina's first and only victory in the final against Brazil was that of 1937 in the U.S. Cup when it triumphed 2.0.
In the America Cup, in the 2004 final, the Brazilians won the penalty after the regular game and follow-up ended with an equal score, 2:2. A year later, in the finals of the Confederate Cup, Brazil defeated Argentina 4:1, while 3:0 Brazilians also won in 2007 at the American Cup.
