The duo was in the French National Hotel where there were two Asians in the room who had been delegated to fix the hall TV when the Frenchman began racist remarks against them.
The video became viral on the Internet, where, after these comments, Rakken Executive Director Hiroshi Mikitan has reacted, naming French comments unacceptable.
Barcelona statement:
“FC Barcelona expresses deep regret over the dissatisfaction between our Japanese and Asian fans and partners of our Club caused by a video that appeared several days ago in social media in which two first team players (Ousmane Dembélélé and Antoine Griezmann) showed disrespect in their attitude to some employees at the hotel in which they were standing”, the club said.
“Players have already shown their remorse and have apologised to Japanese fans and partners, something the club values”, Barcelona said.
Whatever, The FC Barcelona reserves the right to take internal measures that it considers appropriate”, Barcelona said.
