COVIED continues to alarm in Japan, as the number of Coronavirus infected in the Olympic Village increases as the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games “Tokio 2020” remains.
Four other Olympic Village residents, including two athletes, resulted in positive COVID-19.
So far, the total number of people accredited for the Tokyo Games has amounted to 91, which have proved positive since the beginning of July.
The Kandi Jacobs Skateboarder from the Netherlands and table tennis player Pavel Siruchek, from the Czech Republic, are the athletes who have recently been infected with COVID.
They had to leave the Olympic Village to accommodate themselves at a quarantined hotel.
Two staff members -- a category that includes coaching and team officials standing in the Tokyo Olympic Village with a view to the Gulf -- also resulted positive.
