Scotland Yard police came out into the city to disperse young people, who after the end of the match continued to celebrate with drink in hand on the streets of London. Some fans were arrested for improper behaviour, assaulting police officers or disrupting public calm, while two police officers have remained injured.
The clashes between fans and police followed for hours, to their distribution. Night clubs in London expressed their concern because of the rules, the Londoners failed to pursue the English-Ukraine game, causing them a daily loss to 5 million pounds, due to non-compliance of beer in 90 minutes of play.
