Burns, placed by Joe Biden as the first career diplomat in the CIA chief's position, said in an interview he had supported his agency's efforts to determine the cause of the syndrome and who was responsible for it, the Guardian reports, translates Periscopi.
Among other steps, he had appointed the senior official who had led Osama bin Laden's pursuit to lead the task force investigating the syndrome, and said he had tripled the size of the medical team involved.
Havana's syndrome besides dizziness and migraines has more like vomiting and memory loss.
She was appointed in that form because the first officials to suffer were at the American Embassy in Cuba in 2016.
He added that there were possibilities that the syndrome was deliberately caused and that Russia could be responsible for it.
