Democratic Party of Kosovo MP Elmi Recica has criticised the government for blocking for completing jobs for building Ferizaj's regional hospital.
He said that Ferizaj's regional hospital would be inaugurated today, in the 22nd anniversary note, when the KLA military hospital of the Nerodima Operative Zone that had been in the Cave of the Lakes had landed in the city, but who said that such a thing has been disabled by the government.
“Today is a very special day for all citizens of the Ferizaj region and is a historic moment. Today 22 years the KLA military hospital of the Nerodime Operative Zone, which has been in the Cave of the Batak, the wounded soldiers and civilians have dropped out and the hospital of Ferizaj region has been established and all citizens know it is a very special historic day. From then on, they have continued the commitments and jobs to start and close the facility of Ferizaj's regional hospital, but despite the commitment and the strengthening of this idea, especially from the PDK, which here and three years ago started building the hospital and has been the first to today on June 15th, the 22nd anniversary of the shooting, soldiers and civilians to be inaugurated. But even the preliminary government Kurti, who has cut to the maximum budgetary means for continuing to build Ferizaj's regional hospital, as well as the government Kurti has now moved forward and stopped it, has blocked the construction of Ferizaj's” hospital, he said.
He said that with the construction of that hospital, 250 thousand of Ferizaj's residents could be treated.
Recica said that if the PDK were in the government and Ismaili Ura's minister of health, Ferizaj's regional hospital would be inaugurated today.
“I extend an invitation to the current government Kurti, the minister of health who is behaving more like a mannequin than a real minister to resume and end up building Ferizaj's regional hospital facility as soon as possible. I also invite regional deputies, we are 11 deputies from that region, and neither of them has ever heard this very important object speak up anymore. Also, the minister of finance, transfers and labour is from Ferizaj and would have to take special care to complete this object of special importance. If the PDK were in power, and if Ismaili Bridge were Health Minister today, we would have inaugurated it”, he said.
Ferizaj's hospital dates back to June 1999, the day the ZO-Nerodime military hospital, with 65 wounded, and medical personnel from the war zone are located in one segment of the city's Health House in which the hospital is still located today.
It starts with three departments: Emergency, gynecology and Surgery. Initially, there were 110 workers, of them: 11 medical doctors, 7 doctors in specialization, and the rest of the average staff and non medical personnel. Initially, the Regional Hospital stands in financial and cadrovic surveillance by KKUK (Kosovo University Clinical Centre), while in 2005, with the Health Ministry's decision of Hospital independence, accepting it as Ferizaj Regional Hospital. With Health Law, the University Clinical Hospital Service has been formed, Ferizaj Hospital is part of the USKKUK.
