By way of a Twitter post, Maas, has said he hopes that the punishment for Mladic will serve as comfort for victims and survivors.
“I am relieved of the International Criminal Tribunal's final ruling against Ratko Mladic, who holds responsibility for the genocide in Srebrenica. Well, that justice prevailed. I hope this provides some kind of comfort to the victims and survivors”, Maas wrote.
Bin erleichtert über das final Urteil des Int. Strafgerichthofs gegen Radko #Mladic, der Verantworthung rägt für den Genozid von #Srebenica. Gut, das Rect über Unrecht gesiegt hat. Hoffe, das dies en gewisser Trost is für die Opfer und Hinterbbeen.
