Police have reported that the victim at the critical moment was in the company of a 70-year-old woman who later left the motel where she was staying with 64-year-olds.
“Around 12:17 minutes., police have received information from a emergency team that a life-free person has been found at a motel in Prizren. Investigators and forensics have appeared at the scene, the prosecutor has been informed, and at the order of the prosecutor the lifeless body has been sent to the IML for suspension”, Police spokesman Shaban Osmanollaj has said.
But this is not the only case. In Kosovo there are no rare cases of elderly people losing their lives at motels.
But why are older people dying in motels?
Sexologist Hajrullah Fyza has shown what is affecting these people's lives.
Sexual relations besides pleasure are also physical activity in most cases and excessive physical strain. Deaths in these cases occur for many reasons: As a result of excessive physical strain, as a result of taking medication without a doctor's description and without instructions from the pharmacist or as a result of other health conditions”, he said of Infocus.
Such cases are prevented if they consult doctors in advance, says Fyza.
“Sex doesn't know age; it shouldn't stop anyone no matter how old he is. A preventing death as a result of drug consumption can be done by doctors and pharmacists who are unfortunately not happening. The doctor rarely or at all asks the patient about sexual activity, and the patient looks for himself and takes medication at the pharmacy without any instruction or recommendation. At times, the patient's state of health does not allow him to take such drugs”, he stated.
Kosovo sexologist adds that an education of doctors and pharmacists is needed in the sense of consulting patients regarding sexual health and sexual needs.
