The Portuguese Superstar looked terrified when he noticed gas drinks on his desk when he spoke to the media earlier this week, putting them away from camera eyes and keeping his water bottle in the camera eye.
Ronaldo's actions caused quite a stir, with Coca-Cola's share price reportedly dropped by $4 billion, while the world's most famous footballer urged millions of his fans to give up this drink in favor of water.
There were similar scenes on Tuesday evening when France's midfielder Paul Pogba held his press conference after the match, although this time Manchester United devout Muslim removed a bottle of Heineken beer from the table.
Locatelli has now become the third player to receive attention at the expense of Euro 2020 sponsors.
Italian like Ronaldo, removed two bottles of Coca-Cola from the table and placed his bottle of water directly before him instead.
Ronaldo's situation prompted Coca-Cola to react with a statement saying that “everyone is entitled to their own drinking preferences” and that they all have different “s and needs”.
