The Dutch Football Federation announced it was De Boer, who did not want to be part of the Netherlands even further after failing to qualify in the quarterfinals.
De Boer faced sharp criticism after losing the Czechs because of his decision to abandon the Dutch traditional formation of four defenders, three midfielders and three attackers.
De Boer part of the Netherlands was appointed selective in September last year. He took office in the sector after Ronald Coeman left, who joined Barcelona.
