A federal court in the United States dismissed two lawsuits against the social network, Facebook, influencing its value to reach a record level.
Judge James Boasberg estimated that the federal Trade Commission's complaint against the social network is very unclear, the BBC writes.
Another indictment over competition, handed down by several US states, was also dropped because alleged violations had occurred long ago.
After those decisions, the value of Facebook shares increased by 4.2 percent and the company's market value for the first time amounted to over $1 trillion.
As for the second indictment, Judge Bosberg said states have offered no reasonable justification for why they have waited for six to eight years to decide to sue Facebook. He added that states have failed to offer fact claims.
