The European Commission approved 166.7m euros in public support to Greece for the construction of the LNG terminal in Alexandria, which is set to use American gas.
While North Macedonia has recently become an interested part of the project, while Kosovo is negotiating with the Greek government and US authorities also for using gas for a thermal power plant, Dt.net reports.
Natural gas is transported in liquid, using LNG gas tanks.
At LNG terminals, liquid natural gas is returned to gas (regasified) once discharged from ships and then distributed throughout the network.
