Matt Hancock has resigned to the position of the health secretary, in a letter to Boris Johnson.
The resignation follows the show of shame by kissing with his secretary on May 6th, when the public was still advised not to embrace people beyond their home, reports The Guardian.
The health secretary had already faced questions about his relationship with Gina Coladangelo, a university friend who was brought to be non-executive director at the Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC).
Hancock has faced great public pressure in recent weeks. Prime Minister Johnson's former adviser, Dominic Cummings, has said he had urged the prime minister to dismiss the health secretary until 20 times.
