Christian Ericksen has said he feels good and wants to express thanks to all those who sent him supportive messages, following the cardiac arrest he suffered on Saturday in Denmark's anti- Finland opening match at the 2020 European Championship. Ericseni held cardiac arrest in the field at the end of the first leg between Denmark and Finland in the Euro 2020 Group B opening match and returned to life with defibrillators from the national medical team.
He was miraculously rescued by doctors from Denmark's national team, who gave him emergency training in the field and is now in a stable health state hospital.
The 29-year-old reportedly feels good, but will continue to stay in the hospital to undergo additional tests to learn the trigger that led to cardiac arrest.
In his first social networking post since the incident, Ericseni wrote:
Hello, everyone. A great appreciation for the amazing and sweet messages and greetings from all over the world mean a lot to me. I'm fine, under these circumstances. I still have to undergo some tests at the hospital, but I feel good.
He added: “Now, I will root for Denmark team boys for next matches. Play for all Denmark. All the best, Christian. ”
